Again the Zeeuws Veilinghuis in the Netherlands has an auction with important Indonesian paintings. This time a few works by Rudolf Bonnet (1895-1978) and Auke Sonnega (1910-1963).
Provenance of the Sonnega paintings: R. Claessens (1906-1992) director of SIPEF Indonesia. He bought them directly from the artist. SIPEF, a company producing and trading rubber, palmoil and tea, was (and maybe still is) one of the biggest companies in Indonesia.
