M.C. Escher

Auctioning work from M.C. Escher (1898 – 1972) is one of our specializations,
which is one of the reasons why we are able to realize spectacular hammer prices.

We achieved several world records already, including:
– ‘The white cat’, original wood block for prints, 1919.
Hammer price € 55,000
This cat was Escher’s pet during his studies in Haarlem.

– ‘The eye’
Hammer price € 48,000
We managed to more than double the old record on December 9th, 2015!

– ‘Air and water II’
Hammer price € 65,000
On June 6th, 2019 the old record was doubled more than three times!

For more information or a (noncommittal) valuation of your work by Escher,
